The Neighbourhood
The local village of Warnham has two great pubs, a village shop for the basics and a fantastic butcher. The historic market town of Horsham is a 10 minute drive away where you will find a wide range of restaurants, shops, two cinemas and The Capitol theatre, as well as direct trains to London, Gatwick airport and the south coast.
Please go to the "see & do" page of this website for an extensive list of our favourites.

Local Shopping
Farm shops - There are 2 farm shops within a 10 minute drive of The Pump House. Westons Farm Shop sells a wide range of fruit, veg, meat, fish and dairy products as well as other dried goods. Open 7 days a week. Alternatively there is the Village Greens Farm shop in Ockley which is a little smaller but still carries most essentials.
Horsham - You will find most of the major supermarkets in Horsham - Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose, Lidl and Aldi. We are also incredibly lucky to have some wonderful independent shops including the fabulous Gwyn’s Bakery (you won’t find a better cinnamon bun anywhere else!), Cuckoo a lovely boutique clothing shop with very reasonable prices, and Carmela’s Deli which dishes up incredible Italian food to eat in and take home. Horsham is also home to a large number of both independent and chain restaurants to suit every taste.

Getting Here
By car - The Pump House is just off the A24 between Warnham and Kingsfold.
If coming from the north, head south on the A24 from Dorking. Drive straight through Kingsfold, past The Owl pub. Follow the road round 2 sharp bends, and the driveway to the Pump House is the first driveway on your right just after The Dog and Duck pub where there is a bus stop.
If coming from the south, head north on the A24 when it becomes a single carriageway to the north of Horsham. You will pass the village of Warnham on your left, go over the crest of a hill and as you come down the other side of the hill you will see the auction house Denhams on your right. The driveway for the Pump House is the next driveway on your left where there is a bus stop sign. If you drive past The Dog and Duck pub you have gone too far!
For an exact location please use the following link.
By train - the best train station is Horsham station with direct links to London Victoria, London Bridge, Gatwick Airport, Portsmouth and Southampton. There is a taxi rank just outside the station and it is approximately 10 minutes by car from the station. Please note there is also a station at Warnham, however there are no taxis, and there is no safe way to walk to the Pump House from there.
By plane - the nearest airport is London Gatwick (LGW) approximately 20 minutes by car or London Heathrow (LHR) which takes 50 minutes (when there is no traffic!).
Taxis - for airport pick ups / drop offs, or any long distance journeys we highly recommend local car service Richard Lowe. You can contact him on +44 7906 139860 or gowithlowe@outlook.com
For local taxis that can drive you to and from Horsham or the immediate area you can try Western Cars on +441403 610610.

House Rules
Dogs - We are dog friendly and very happy to welcome up to 2 four legged friends, we have even installed a hot & cold running shower outside the front door to wash dirty dogs and wellies after a muddy walk! Please note dogs are not allowed on the furniture and we ask that they are not left unaccompanied at The Pump House.
Septic tank - The Pump House is not connected to mains drainage so we please ask that you do not flush anything other than toilet paper. There is a bin provided in the bathroom for any sanitary products, wipes (even ones that claim to be flushable/biodegradable) and any other rubbish. Please do not put any cooking fat down the drain but allow it to dry and then scrape it in to the bin.
Bins - In the kitchen you will find a double bin. One side (lined with a bag) is for regular rubbish and food waste, and the other is for recycling. West Sussex permit all recycling to be mixed together, and you can find a list of recyclable items here.
Smoking - Please do not smoke at The Pump House.
Neighbours - Please be respectful of our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 9pm.
